“You truly never know where life will take you or whose path will intersect with yours at just the right time!” (inspiremore.com)

Miracles happen when serendipity aligns with synchronicity.

Retired Indiana police officer Gene Eyster never forgot that fateful day 24 years ago, just before Christmas. He got a call that a group of boys had found an abandoned baby in a cardboard box.

Gene rushed to the spot and took care of the baby. He named the infant ‘Baby Jesus.’ The Child Protection Services came and took away the baby. Gene did not know what happened to the baby thereafter.

One day, after his retirement, he got a call from a colleague who asked him whether he remembered Baby Jesus. He said, “Well, you’re not going to believe this. He’s sitting next to me.”

Baby Jesus, now called Matthew Hegedus-Stewart, had become a police officer in the same department that rescued him.

Gene and Matthew soon met in an emotional reunion after 24 years.

Matthew said,

“It was a blessing. I mean, I wondered my whole life, ‘Hey, who found me? What happened?’ And more or less, it’s a kind of closure for Gene.”

Matthew said he might have been prompted subconsciously to join the police force.

Gene is a kind police officer. The universe showed him visible proof of the good act he performed 24 years ago.

The police deserve appreciation for the good service they render to society.
